Ohmygod, let it be the only turtle soup that I'll be touching for the rest of my life.

It's been awhile since I had my 2nd (and last) bowl of real turtle soup (meat and the jelly parts).
And only moments ago, I was furiously searching for articles related to turtles used in soups. Search
didn't come up with pictures of butchered turtles (though there were some), you know, pictures that I can use to justify the seeming cruelty of it all.
Talking about cruelty when I'm no vegan (and never will be), and have no intentions of giving up meat in my life, seems like such a big joke, doesn't it?
Some takes on sharksfinsoup:
"Nobody is against eating meat (beef, mutton, chicken) from livestock, which can be regenerated - it's when someone eats sharks, which are not farmed, and populations worldwide are in decline, that is when people should be concerned.""sheer cruelty and wastefulness of removing the fins from a live shark, and then dumping the still-living creature back into the sea where it drowns slowly."source of quotes: http://comment.straitstimes.com/showthread.php?t=9160p/s. I think bf and his family is so going to hate me after this.
