DAY 5It's been a long break, and now I'm back to update!
We spent the morning at the bookstore on Phi Phi, checking emails, sipping a giant cup of mango smoothie, and just watching the crowd pass by.
irish pub across the street
7/11, it's a store and more
bf had fun snapping pictures of signboards
bookstore where we lazed about till it was time to board the ferry
many colourful long-tail boats at the jettySo we met some Korean old farts on the ferry, and they were plain rude. I hope I'll never have to meet this same group of people again, ever.
Got back to Phuket and settled down at our new hotel, Family Mansion 2. I had the biggest scare (for the trip so far) when I opened our room's door and found an
enormous mop of breathing hair sprawled right at our door step, oh, a mammoth dog sleeping. Please excuse us while we retreat back into our room to catch our breath. Phew. Found out later that it's the friendly resident dog at the hotel.
Dinner time, we ate at one of the handful roadside stalls selling local thai food, somewhere near our hotel.
spring roll with chicken, yummy
beef noodles, the meatballs were super doink lah.
and pig trotters, red looks really fiercePositively sure we were ripped off, at sgd17 for a local meal that consisted of the above-photographed and 2 bottles of coke okay. The aunty still say give us discount, liar... haha
Headed back to Bangla Street for some drinks after dinner.
action-packed Tiger
Settled down at V20, something like an icebar (think eskibar?). The girls were friendly, and kept urging us to go into the cold room for some shots. Ordered a Margherita while bf had a Long Island, drinks don't come cheap here. We were given 2 blue Kamikaze shots though, on the house!
in the iceroom for some shots, some pre-mixed lychee thing that tasted delicious, and yeap, shot glasses made of ice.
not used to taking pictures in sucha cold environment and that's what you get, funny expressions. hahah. our 'hostess', made her drink 2 shots with us.
fogged up.
meaningless ice-sculpture
and right they provided down jackets, I learnt bout it a little late
it's freezing inside lurrrrr!

I couldn't take it after our 3rd pre-mixed shooter, got back to the hotel and puked most of (if not all) dinner out. Clambered onto bed and couldn't stop shivering, probably gave bf a damned bad scare when my teeth couldn't stop chattering. Sorry baby!
One final part of our Phuket trip, to Phuket Aquarium located at the Southern end of the state, and our little adventure on a scooter to be posted up soon aight aight!
